A 'Choco Cro' (a dark, bitter chocolate-filled croissant) is a popular treat from the 'St. Marc Cafe' (found in the Aeon Mall shopping centers across Japan). 'St. Marc' is a nation-wide cafe chain, that makes its own freshly baked goods on site, so the 'Choco Cro' came heated, in its orange paper sleeve. This one was purchased in the Aeon Mall shop in Goshono, Akita. It smelled so good, I couldn't wait to take the photo, so took a bite. Hence the missing end on the right-hand side. This flakey, buttery, gooey delight, with a crunchy nutty topping, was made even better when paired with a steaming hot latte. (Very nice service too.)
